CONCARNEAU
ABOUT CONCARNEAU
Concarneau has been hosting the race since 2006. It is at the foot of the ramparts of the walled town that the Figaro Bénéteau 3 boats will be moored for the 6 days of festivities leading up to the start: from 15 to 20 April 2025.
Concarneau is a place for all times: the medieval fortifications rub shoulders with the corniche, where seaside architecture flirts with the ocean. The Ville Close, Brittany's ancient stronghold, bathes its imposing ramparts every day in the calm waters of the fishing and yachting harbours. For decades, Concarneau Bay has been the training ground for top ocean racing skippers. A stroll along the quayside is a chance to catch a glimpse of the most prestigious boats: ‘Figaro’, ‘IMOCA’ or ‘Class 40″... A land of sailors, Concarneau is a favourite meeting place for water sports enthusiasts. The left bank is home to the shipyards that will be building the yachts and sailing boats of the future, with prototypes ready for the Vendée Globe or the Volvo Ocean Race!
