Martin Le Pape becomes the 7th entrant in the Transat Paprec 2025 and will participate for the fifth time. His best result is a very nice 4th place, obtained alongside Roland Jourdain during the Transat AG2R La Mondiale in 2014. Martin is a very experienced skipper in Figaro, with more than ten years of experience on the circuit!
“It’s a race that I love for a whole host of reasons. It’s the only one-design transatlantic race and it’s nice to think that only the crew makes the difference. I also like this race because it starts from home, in Concarneau. We’re always supported and it’s a great time to share with friends and local sponsors who are happy to be at the start, and also at the finish. These are great celebrations and great moments of sharing. It’s also a race that knows how to evolve over time. The move to mixed doubles is something new that brings a lot. Finally, I’m a fan of transatlantic races because we travel with time. We start in a down jacket, with a hat and we finish in shorts in the Antilles. It’s magical!”
