Due to the weather conditions expected this Tuesday in Concarneau, the prologue will not take place at sea but will instead take place… virtually. The nineteen pairs will compete in an e-prologue that will take place on the main stage of the Transat Paprec village.

Eyes fixed on the weather conditions. Like the competitors, race management is closely monitoring the evolution of the sky. This Tuesday, all the skippers were due to set sail to compete in a prologue, the Alex Picot Challenge. Except that the conditions don't allow it. " There's a north, northwest wind with 25 knots established and gusts that can exceed 40 knots ," emphasizes Francis Le Goff, the race director. "There's no point in tempting fate six days before the big start ."
An e-prologue that promises to be just as competitive
Given the situation, race management and the organizer have worked with Virtual Regatta to conduct the prologue virtually. The Alex Picot Challenge ePrologue will take place in the early afternoon, starting at 2 p.m. and ending at 3:30 p.m., facing the stage. All pairs will participate via their tablet or smartphone. Each sailor will compete in a race lasting around thirty minutes, and a ranking will be established at the end of each leg. At the end of this ePrologue, a signing session will be held with all the skippers.
The best duos from this Alex Picot ePrologue Challenge will be honored on stage during the awards ceremony at 6 p.m., one hour after the official opening. Note that after the e-prologue, the band Mask ha gazh will perform a sound check, which will be open to the public. The concert, free and open to all, will begin at 9 p.m.
